A well prepared base is essential to the overall finish of the building quality/structure but also the aesthetic and long term function of the timber building purchased. We require good access up to the customers base for a 4x4 and trailer. If the building site does not allow access to the base or if the delivery vehicle gets stuck on site, it is the customer’s responsibility to supply help to deliver materials and/or recover delivery vehicles. To avoid additional charges please ensure that the site allows safe access e.g. a hardcore track or a tractor is available to tow the delivery vehicle into and out of the site. Due to Health and Safety Regulations, we can only carry buildings a short distance.
Customers must ensure that all materials/buildings delivered to the site are adequately covered by insurance against fire, theft, extreme weather conditions, or any other loss or damage.
All timbers are inspected at the time of manufacture. However as timber is a natural product we cannot accept responsibility for any warping, cracking or shrinkage after construction is complete. We highly recommend all timber buildings are finished with a good quality water proof sealer. This acts to seal the end grains of any exposed timber, which is needed due to the porous nature of timber. For maintenance of the building long term, we recommend annual use of a high quality water proofer used strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
It is the customers responsibility to ensure any mobile buildings are securely fixed down.
Any issues with a timber building must be reported to us within 7 days of the delivery/completion of the building, prior to any livestock being admitted and internal work being carried out.
Marshgate Timber will not be held responsible for damage caused by extreme weather conditions, fire, theft, livestock damage or Acts of god.
By placing an order with Marshgate Timber, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
